Why some folks may never retire

The market crash of 2008 has made many Baby Boomers drastically re-think their retirement plans.
A new Wells Fargo study shows one-quarter of Americans say they’ll “work until age 80″ so they can live comfortably in retirement.
Three-fourths of the 1,500 workers surveyed say they’ll likely work part-time well into traditional retirement years, and 47% think that part-time work will be the same job or in the same field they’re in now.
Two bits of good news:
- 53% know they should cut back on spending now for retirement, and
- 86% think it’s important they own their homes, debt-free, by retirement.
